About the Aikenconstruction project

Информационно-образовательный ресурс по основам работы с данными

What this project is

Think of this as a reading corner about data literacy - nothing more, nothing less. We collect notes on how data gets gathered, cleaned up, shown in charts, and read by people who need to make sense of it.

One thing to be upfront about: we're not a school. No accredited courses here, no diplomas at the end. Just material you can browse when you want to understand something better.

What this project is

Why we bother

The whole idea started from a simple frustration - most explanations of data topics either talk down to you or bury you in jargon. We wanted a middle ground.

So the goal is modest. Take the basics, strip out the buzzwords, and put things in plain language. No promises about what happens after you read it. That part is on you.

How we write

Neutral tone, descriptive angle. Where possible we show the reasoning behind a concept instead of just naming it.

You won't find us pushing a specific tool or platform. Comparisons get mentioned, sure, but recommendations aren't really our thing - too much depends on your context, your data, your goals.

Being honest with you

Straightforward disclosure: reading our pages doesn't replace talking to a professional. If a decision matters, get proper advice from someone qualified.

And learning to work with data - it's a personal path. Two people can read the same article and end up in different places. Decisions you make based on what you read here are your own responsibility.

Purely informational

Everything on the site sits under one heading: reference material. No certificates issued, no guarantees offered about educational or career outcomes.

How you use what you read is entirely up to you. Some visitors skim for context, others dig deeper into a specific topic - both are fine. We just provide the notes.
